Pj O’Briens in the city of Adelaide was the setting for Amanda and Nigel’s Engagement.

Friends and Family arrived and relaxed on the huge balcony overlooking the Adelaide parklands while 

yummy finger food and canapes were served.

A Beautiful Red Velvet cake was proudly made by Amanda’s talented mum and the hand made wishing well box with their names engraved on the front 

was a beautiful touch.

Bupa Tour Down Under

Just Recently I got Commissioned to Shoot some Commercial Photos for The Tour Down Under on behalf of Bupa.

Some of these Photos had to showcase Bupa’s Sponsorship and their Community Approach.

Not having ever actually been into the City for the Tour Down under and always trying to capture it further

south when the riders were heading through Willunga and Aldinga, I took the time to take in the colours, 

the atmosphere and the general good Vibes coming from the Tour Village.

So much work goes into organising the event and it was nice to network and generally have a good chat with all the different suppliers that make the Tour Down Under what it is in Adelaide.

New Years Eve!

Happy New Year Everyone!

2016 has been for me a tremendous year, filled with Weddings, Events both Corporate and Private, Baby Shoots, Family Shoots and Product Photography.

2016 has seen a HUGE growth in my business and I am very lucky to have some great return clients along with all my new ones!

I had a Fantastic New Years Eve at the HWY being the photographer and got to soak in the colour, the beats and the rhythm that is Rio!

Sally + Adam

On the 8th October 2016 I was witness and Photographer for Sally and Adam!

Their wedding was due to be held at Waterfall Gully but unfortunately a landslide forced them to change venues at the last minute.

Fortunately for them, the lovely people that owned Utopia also owned Glanville Hall at Semaphore and so the venue was quickly changed and what a venue it was!

The day shone bright for us as the Yellow Monaro and the Silver Impala pulled up on the gravel driveway and the bridesmaids all pretty in pink fluttered out followed by the gorgeous bride and her father.

Glamourous Vintage was the theme of the wedding and featured lawn games such as croquet and badminton, Vintage lounges with gold trim, old ladders filled with glass jars and vintage photo frames and the backdrop to the ceremony was a beautiful arch made from wood, with large glass terrariums hanging from the branches filled with little cactus and wildflowers.

The scene was set for the whole day and I just had to capture some photos of the couple under the HUGE fig tree around the back of the hall, it’s old and expansive branches reaching out to the sun, it’s roots making organic benches for the wedding party to sit and lean against.

All in all it was a beautiful wedding and I was honoured to be the Photographer

With everyone on a high from yesterday’s Grand Final win everyone was rocking a sombrero and while having a tequila in hand!

SALA Studio 20 Official Opening and Naming

On Sat 6th August Onkaparinga Youth Officially Opened and Named their new Studio Studio 20!

Opened officially by Mayor Lorraine Rosenberg, this studio was also a SALA exhibition for the South’s Youth and helped them exhibit everything from Pottery, Jewellery, Drawings, Paintings and Sculptures. There was some talent to behold!

Studio 20 is going to be a space where youth can go and fine tune their talents and be supported by already established artists! I was privileged to be asked to photograph this event and so donated my services to support this great Establishment.

Anything to support our Local Talent and especially younger talent when it comes to the Arts will always be supported by myself and I think we need more of this idea throughout the state!

Cherry Blossom Mini Sessions!

On Sat 6th and Sunday the 7th of August with the Cherry Blossom Trees in full bloom I decided to host some mini sessions!

I put the callout and had 4 families answer the call!

This is the first time I had ever worked with the Cherry Blossom trees so when I saw the location in which I was going to photograph these families in, I was blown away with how beautiful they all looked lined up next to each other, their flowers in full bloom, the bee’s busily collecting the pollen, the wind gently blowing the petals from the flowers and making it look like it was snowing and the way the gnarled branches stood out against the green grass!

I also had some repeat clients book so it was always nice being able to capture some more memories of their children as they grow up and what a beautiful setting in which to do it in!

Here is a sneak peek for the families and to showcase just how beautiful both days were (weather wise).

Usually the mood is one of elation, happiness and excitement. People already understand that their photo will be taken so as a photographer, it makes my job that little bit easier. I love capturing the smaller moments like people dancing, laughing and taking that sneaky shot…couples who look into each other’s eyes as they hide in that dark corner enjoying the music, the dancer who feels the need to dance like there is no tomorrow, the Hen taking a multitude of shots with her friends who have all come out to celebrate her, the workmate who might be that “shy one”…until he hits the dance floor in that suit and tie and the effort and consideration that companies make to decorate their corporate event.

Moments are happening and nothing is forced. Companies have a record of their happy employees and people have a snapshot of a happy moment in their life where all that matters is having fun…… and dancing like no one’s watching…..

Pandora Marion

I attended the Pandora Marion VIP event on Sunday with a friend and had a styling session and decided while my styling session was going ahead to take some photos of the Charms I myself wanted.

Leanne + Kevin

On the 16th July 2016 I had the pleasure of being asked to photograph the wedding of Leanne and Kevin Robinson.

It turned out to be a beautiful day after having such a cold, wet and miserable week! I think we had all our fingers crossed the night before!

The ceremony was held at the Largs Pier Hotel in the outdoor undercover reception area with a great view of the ocean, the jetty and the odd pedestrian….

Leanne and Kevin had made up some beautiful signs to honour those that had passed and had even created their own hashtag! #leannekevinrobinson

With guests starting to arrive, bolstered by the sunshine, the mood was a happy one and everyone eagerly awaited the arrival of the bride.

The bridesmaids were Leanne’s 5 Daughters and they all looked stunning in various shades of Black and Gold and behind them came Leanne in her stunning black and white Dress, with Roses adorned by her Grandmother’s brooch as something old, her smile making the sun look tiny….

The Ceremony was quick but full of Laughter, Love and the odd Tear or two.

Family Photos were a must and everyone congratulated Mr and Mrs Robinson.

We then headed out to the Old Port Adelaide Wool Houses with a quick stop to stand by the big Croc!

The woolsheds were bathed in beautiful afternoon light and golden hour was truly upon us.

The old bricks, the cracked windows, the old fire bells, the wooden doors with peeling paint, old wooden sleepers and rusty air vents greeted us warmly and made for some stunning backdrops.

I got to test out my new lights and we even got the help of a few buses and cars that just had to drive past and give us a hoot or a sticky beak…..

With the sun fading fast, we then shot back to the Largs Bay Jetty to get that nice orange sunset and that’s what we got with some beautiful reds and oranges to greet us before Leanne and Kevin had to get back to their guests for the black and gold reception that Leanne had meticulously created herself.

The love that Leanne and Kevin had for each other really came out in the photos and we wish them all the best in their life together!
